What’s it all about?
Every football fan waits all week for Saturday, and now with Staturday football fanatics can get their fix through the long working week. As us football fans know the game is so much more than kicking a ball around for 90 minutes. Passion on the pitch, passion in the stands and then we take this into analysing every detail of our teams game. At Staturday we write about statistics you didn’t know you needed to know. The kind of topics that will intrigue every football fan and to see whether the statistics support your view, I guess you’re just going to have to read the blog to find out!
Who’s it for?
Simply any football fan, even some of those plastic part time fans, I'm not going to mention any teams. If you want to better your knowledge or to challenge your thinking, then Staturday is the right place for you. Alternatively if you just want to sound like you know what you’re talking about next time football comes up with your mates, then this blog will allow you to do that.
My aim?
In a game of many opinions, who is really right? No one, that’s what makes it great! My aim therefore is to be thought provoking, challenge peoples thinking and inform fans through the use of statistics. Finally I want to spark discussion amongst fans through both this blog and social media.

THE MAN BEHIND THE STATS
My name is Callum Parkin; I have been based in and around Lincoln for most of my life. After finishing my degree in Business and Management, I am now doing my MSc in Marketing at the University of Lincoln. I know you don’t care about this. So let's get to the important stuff!
Being in a family of Lincoln city supporters, and a father that played for them there was only one choice on who to support. After going to my first game at the age of 4, I have been hooked ever since. This has been particularly enjoyable during the last 3 seasons, having witnessed two promotions, a win at Wembley and to top it off being the only non-league team to make it to the FA cup quarterfinals. My fascination with football goes beyond just supporting, to gaining a deep understanding of the game. This is reasoning behind this blog about analysing the key statistics.
